My Why

My “why” for being a healthcare educator is because I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with others. I believe that by educating future healthcare professionals, I can make a positive impact on the future of healthcare. I want to inspire and empower the next generation of healthcare leaders to be even better than those that came before them. I am dedicated to helping shape the future of healthcare by equipping students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in this ever-evolving field. I am committed to fostering a love for learning and a passion for making a difference in the lives of others. Being a healthcare educator allows me to leave a lasting imprint on the future of healthcare, and that is why I am driven to pursue this career path.

Kristin Crawley is a dedicated healthcare professional with over 20 years of experience. Starting as a bedside RN, she later became an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) specializing in Cardiac Surgery ICU at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She then transitioned to vascular surgery, bringing her expertise to MedStar Union Memorial Hospital where she currently works. She also hold a RNFA certification.

Passionate about education, she is an adjunct faculty at Georgetown University for the ACNP program. In her free time, she enjoys baking, savoring good food, traveling, spending time with her family, and embracing the challenges of bodybuilding. She is excited to connect with you!
